About the role:
Right now, we are looking for an exceptional New Zealand Registered Dietitian to join our Nutrition and Dietetic service working in Kaitaia Hospital.
This role is permanent full time 0.7 FTE working 28 hours per week with the potential for additional hours for inpatient outpatient clinic cover. You will join a small team of Dietitians based in Mid / Far North and be part of the wider dietetic team across Te Tai Tokerau.
In this role, you will deliver dietetic care to ward patients at Kaitaia Hospital and lead our general outpatient service in Kaitaia including a diabetes specific clinic. We provide patient / whanau centred care, which is safe, effective and outcome focused. This role works within a multi-disciplinary framework, working closely with colleagues in the hospital. This is a relatively new role so there will also be opportunities for service development work and professional development.
Key requirements:
- Current registration with the Dietitians Board of New Zealand
- Current NZ Driver's Licence
- At least 1-2 years working in a variety of clinical areas
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
