Finance | Kōkiri Tāuru sits within Organisational Capability and Services | He Pou Aronui, a branch dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to succeed by providing corporate services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand.
The Manager Financial Accounting and Control role is responsible for leading a team to deliver robust Department wide internal controls and financial accounting services. This will support decision makers and provide assurance that financial management processes comply with legislative requirements and best practice.
The role is also responsible for delivering financial services to the Lottery Grants Board and Trusts, driving a high performance and continuous improvement culture; and supporting strategic and operational decision making processes. DIA offers opportunities to grow.
The Financial Accounting and Control team is part of the Financial Operations Group. This group has responsibility for the Oracle system used for finance, procurement, HR, timecards, project management, recruitment, investment planning, budgeting, forecasting and expense claims. The Financial Operations Group also leads Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and the Public Sector Finance Graduate Programme.
