Contract: Fixed term parental leave cover for 14months. 0.9FTE (36hr/wk).
Salary: As per MECA Step 3- 8 depending on level of experience
Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
We are looking for a Dietitian to join our team at Hutt Hospital. The successful applicant will provide nutrition care for inpatients with a wide range of nutrition diagnoses. The caseload includes both acute and rehab adult inpatients as well as community based primary care for priority populations. Common referral reasons for this role are malnutrition and oral nutrition support in the hospital and nutrition management of long term conditions in the PHO. The specific areas of practice will be confirmed with the successful applicant depending on their knowledge and level of experience. The post-holder will represent Dietetics on multi-disciplinary teams.

Our Dietitian Team at Hutt Hospital is comprised of eight clinicians supported by a Professional Lead. We work across paediatric and adult caseloads in acute, rehabilitation, outpatient and community settings. We are a fun and social group. Moū ' About you
You will be a NZ Registered Dietitian with current annual practicing certificate with prescribing endorsement. You must be able to demonstrate sound clinical reasoning, good communication skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills are a must. We expect a commitment to and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to health, as well as a willingness to work towards improving health outcomes for Māori.
