The Nelson Paediatric Service has a vibrant inpatient unit catering for children from 0-16 years requiring both acute and elective medical and surgical services plus child and adolescent mental health.
We are an enthusiastic team, passionate about providing high quality care to children. We are well supported by onsite Paediatricians and work in close partnership with allied health and child and adolescent mental health practitioners. You will be supported with excellent educational opportunities and our paediatric nurse educator.
The full-time equivalent salary if:
- a RN is appointed is $64,291 to $83,186
- an EN is appointed is $54,432 to $62,847
based on the current NZNO Nursing and Midwifery MECA, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.

You will be a NZ registered or enrolled nurse with a current APC and recent experience in an acute general paediatric setting. You will also be a team player who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice and will have excellent organisational and time management skills, along with a commitment to quality.
You are required to provide proof that you have completed your primary course of NZ approved Covid-19 vaccinations.
