About the role
The Civil Aviation Authority is seeking a Payroll Advisor to join the Corporate Services group. The successful candidate will work as part of the payroll team assisting the Senior Payroll Advisors and Payroll Manager to ensure the provision of accurate, effective and efficient payroll services to the organisation. This role is critical to our fortnightly payroll processing of approximately 1700 employees.
Skills and experience required to be successful:
As the successful candidate you will be action oriented and display a can-do attitude. You’ll build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation and gain their confidence through your integrity, honesty and professionalism.
To be successful in the role, you must:
- Have two+ years payroll advisory experience
- Be able to show your knowledge using PayGlobal;
- Excel proficient and with full competence in Microsoft suite
- Have working knowledge of IRD, ACC requirements and relevant employment legislation
- Have experience in payroll administration or general administration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to deadlines, sometimes under pressure and willingness to work as part of a team

As a result of remedial earthquake strengthening work that needs to take place, our National office staff are currently working remotely and in temporary offices in central Wellington.
