About us:

Middlemore is the largest hospital operated by Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand.  We offer secondary-level (hospital and specialist) care and a selected range of community and domiciliary services for the population of Counties Manukau - the area that stretches from Otahuhu to Port Waikato.

Middlemore Hospital is the National Spinal and Burns centre, a tertiary centre for Orthopaedics, and a major trauma hospital exposing you to a wide range of pathology imaging. We are a large teaching hospital, offering a supportive learning environment, encouraging continual professional development and education.

 

The opportunity:

We are currently seeking applications from MRTs with experience in all medical imaging modalities. We have permanent, fixed term and casual positions available. Whether you are a few years into your practice or an experienced MRT, we have opportunities for you to further develop your skills.

Our Radiology department is large and diverse with state of the art medical imaging equipment that includes:

• 14 General x-ray rooms, most with DR

• Two dedicated Angiography suites

• A specialist Radiology Theatre service with 3D O arm imaging and flat panel image intensifiers

• Four CT scanners performing acute and elective CT scans including Cardiac CT

• 3T and 1.5T MRI scanner

Salaries are competitive and ongoing professional development is encouraged and supported. Remuneration is as per the APEX Medical Imaging Technologists MECA between $57,565 - $112,398, dependent on skills and experience.
