Clinical Nurse Specialist (Full-Time), Infection Prevention and Control, Te Whatu Ora at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Counties Manukau, Auckland

Are you looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity that will allow you to develop and extend your infection control skills within an established infection control programme?

We are seeking applications from an experienced senior registered nurse looking to make Infection Control their career direction. 

The role of the CNS in infection control is a diverse one and we require someone with experience in adult education, knowledge of policy development and surveillance/auditing experience within a hospital setting, able to demonstrate leadership qualities, excellent communication and presentation skills, a team player, computer savvy, and a genuine interest and commitment to quality and service. 

If successful you will be working with a committed team within an organisation whose aim is to make a real difference to the community that we serve. 

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse with Current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in an Infection Prevention and Control programme, or Hand Hygiene co-ordination at a secondary or tertiary level attached to an Infection Prevention & Control Department in a CNS or equivalent role.
  • Postgraduate Qualifications or currently studying towards this or the commitment to pursue relevant PG education
  • 5 + years clinical nursing experience
