2023 Training Year - O&G House Officer at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay, Hawkes Bay

Fulltime, permanent position

6 or 12 month rotation

 

There are exciting opportunities for House Officers to join Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Te Matau a Māui, Hawke’s Bay in full time positions.   Applications are invited for the position of O&G House Officers for 2023 training year commencing 16 January 2023.  The O&G Department offer supportive working conditions and are committed to excellent teaching.

 

Hawke’s Bay Hospital is a 400 bed hospital providing acute and elective care for the Hawke's Bay region.  We have strengthening Primary and Community health services and an increasingly integrated approach to health and health care. 

 

Working within a team of eight House Officers, you will have the full support of eight Specialist Consultants and work closely with eight Registrars.   There is the opportunity to sit the O&G Diploma.  While enjoying a wide variety of inpatient cases, you will have the chance to experience Women’s Outpatients, work in the Surgical Ward, Operating Theatre, Acute Admissions Unit, Emergency Department, Early Pregnancy Clinic.

Experience and Eligibility

 

Suitable for Resident Medical Officers who will be PGY2+ or above.

You will have eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Information on the process of application for this can be found on their website at http://www.mcnz.org.nz/ 

You will need to be a NZ or Australian citizen or resident, or have an appropriate visa to be eligible to live and work in NZ. The Immigration NZ website can be found at https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas
