Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with an enquiring mind and a passion for clinical research to join our supportive and vibrant research team in the Cancer & Blood Service. In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of Medical Oncology Research trials. This is a part time fixed term - Secondment until August 2023 opportunity and comprehensive orientation and training will be provided.
The Research Nurse will have their own trial caseload and be accountable for the care of patients on these studies. You will be working in Medical Oncology setting and will be responsible for recruiting and looking after patients on trials working with various Principal Investigators.
You will interact with study participants and their families, investigating clinicians, clinical trial coordinators, Cancer & Blood Research department staff, pharmacy and laboratory colleagues, and sponsoring groups involved in the study.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
Essential skills required are:
· Level 4 Registered Nurse (Level 3 considered with appropriate experience).
· Medical Oncology experience
· Research experience (preferable)
· Ability to communicate with people from widely different backgrounds and cultures
· Methodical, well organised with meticulous attention to detail
· Able to work autonomously whilst integrating with the multidisciplinary team
· Self-starter who can manage your time effectively and who has a commitment to quality outcomes
