Paediatrician at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Lakes, Bay of Plenty

Consultant General Paediatrician - Fixed Term Part time (0.75 FTE)

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Consultant General Paediatrician and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at Rotorua Hospital.  

About the role

Specialist Paediatrician in the Woman Child and Family Service. Responsible for after-hours call, children’s ward, children admitted to ICU by paediatricians, Special Care Baby Unit, new-borns referred to our service, neonatal emergencies, paediatric cover for ED and other relevant roles as indicated below.  Responsible for out-patient clinics with new (First Specialist Appointment) and follow-up patients as agreed with the Head of Department and Service Manager.

This position is for a fixed term 0.75 FTE to cover parental leave from 20 March 2023 – 12 April 2024.

You should have

  • Basic medical qualifications recognised by the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Post-graduate qualifications and experience eligible for vocational registration by the Medical Council of NZ
  • Current Practising Certificate
  • Medical Indemnity Insurance

 

Salary range

$170,369 to $250,560 pro-rated to hours worked.
