At North Shore Hospital you will be serving a population with good access to primary care as evidence by an admission rate of over 40%. A third of the presentations are over 65 so your challenges will include dealing with acutely unwell older adults where your immediate interventions will have a profound effect on patient outcomes. We have 4 resuscitation rooms with high levels of utilisation, and a large ED Short Stay to minimise unnecessary admissions.

At Waitakere Hospital you will be working in one of the fastest growing EDs in the country At WTH ED you will need to lead and provide resuscitative care and arrange transport for all deteriorating patients without the direct involvement of speciality services like ICU because these are based at NSH.

Interested applicants must comply with the following:

• Possess a Medical Degree registrable with the Medical Council of New Zealand
• Have the Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or a similar higher training qualification eligible for vocations registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
