Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role  

Our Engagement Analyst ensures that complex security and resilience materials are communicated in a way that engages a wide internal audience with an emphasis on creating accessible visual content and supporting the Security and Organisational Resilience Division (SORD) to manage key stakeholder relationships.

 

  • Develop graphics, algorithms, and other visual documents to communicate complex concepts, policies and proceedures to a broad audience
  • Ensure that written communications are fit for purpose, using a range of styles
  • Ensure SORD content on our intranet is well written and effective
  • Design and deliver engagement and communications tools
  • Contribute to a strategic communications and engagement plan
  • Advise on and support the creation of educational materials

 

The appointment range for this role is $65,059 to $72,288 total remuneration including employer contribution to kiwisaver – negotiable depending on experience.

 

Mā‎ wai te mahi nei? – Who are we looking for?

  • Visual content experience, particularly in creating infographics
  • Demonstrated expertise in communications service delivery
  • Ability to identify critical communcations and engagement issues and deliver or broker relevant services
  • Media experience or exposure

This is not a Foreign Policy/diplomatic role.  This is a ‘Corporate’ role (known here as a Specialist role) based in central Wellington, NZ.  

 

While it is not usual for specialist staff to be ‘posted’ outside of NZ, from time to time a specialist role overseas becomes available at one of our embassies, high commissions, missions or consulates.
