Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
This position is based in the Urology Department, providing support to outpatient and procedural clinics. Clinics are conducted by senior specialists, registrars in training and clinical nurse specialists.
The RN working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm, with some flexibility across the DHB as required to meet patient safety and workforce necessities.
Duties
- Nursing support to urology outpatient department
- Clinic preparation and management
- Provision of support to patients and urology team for procedures
- Patient communication and education
- Nurse-led clinics

The Urology department at wellington hospital is a regional service providing treatment and investigation of adult patients with diseases of the genital and urinary tract. We are a small nursing team consisting of 4 Registered nurses and 2 Clinical Nurse Specialists. Urology is a supportive team who are friendly and welcoming.

The successful applicant will have sound clinical nursing skills, a sound patient focus and enthusiasm for working in a team. You will be passionate about nursing clinical excellence, innovation and professional development.
