Three Waters Reform Programme

In July 2020, the Government launched the Three Waters Reform Programme - a multi-year programme to improve the safety, quality, resilience, accessibility, and performance of New Zealand's drinking water, wastewater and stormwater services, in a way that is efficient and affordable. Currently 67 councils own and operate most of New Zealand's water services and face issues funding infrastructure, complying with safety standards and environmental expectations, dealing with natural hazards and climate change involving water infrastructure, and supporting population growth. The Government is progressing the Three Waters Reform to shift the management of three waters services to four publicly-owned water service entities from July 2024.

Right now we are seeking 3 x Product Owners as part of the Customer and Billing Stream

• Customer Operations
• Customer Connections
• Property Developer Services

In this role you will lead and own the product outcomes to ensure strong capability and processes needed for Day 1 of the four water entities set up.

If you have the following skills and experience, we would really like to hear from you:

• Strong knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems and processes
• Strong knowledge and experience working with integrated platforms
• Strong experience in building stakeholder relationships
• Product Owner experience - desirable
• Utility experience - desirable
