Nelson Hospital - Interventional Cardiology / Radiology

Permanent 0.8FTE position working 64 hours a fortnight

We have a permanent 0.8FTE position available for a nurse with experience in Cardiology and/or Radiology nursing. You will be caring for patients undergoing Cardiology and Radiology interventional procedures and other radiological examinations. Knowledge and experience of interventional radiology and/or cardiology is essential, also an ACLS (Level 6) & IV cannulation certificate would be advantageous.

You will be working 64 hours a fortnight within the hours of Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630, however there is an expectation that the role will include on-call after hours 2-3 nights per week and 1 in 4 weekends.

The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is between $59,834 and $83,186 depending on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.

You will:

• Be a NZ registered nurse
• Have a minimum of two years - experience in Cardiology nursing (Interventional or Coronary Care)
• Have a demonstrable record of providing a high standard of care for patients
• Be flexible and adaptable with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Enjoy being part of a team that values teamwork, respects individual needs and is motivated by excellent clinical outcomes

Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of NZ approved COVID-19 vaccines as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public.
