Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a pharmacist to work full-time within Pharmacy on Meade, the on-site community pharmacy situated right in the middle of the large Waikato Hospital campus and Meade Clinical Centre as the senior pharmacist for the team. This role provides the chance for a pharmacist to take a step up into a more senior role, giving the opportunity to focus and develop your community pharmacy skills, undertake coaching and mentoring of less experienced pharmacists, and to feel valued and involved in decision making while helping to coordinate activities within our happy pharmacy team.
Tired of the 700+ prescriptions per day ‘production line’? We are a slower paced pharmacy allowing for more patient interaction and patient counselling’s. Blister packs are few and far between. Pharmacy services are well planned and supported. Learn new skills, be exposed to hospital practice and some weird and wonderful medications not seen in the community, all whilst working alongside a multidisciplinary team of Doctors, nurses and of course our own large hospital pharmacy team and expert specialist pharmacists. Training and education is supported. Monthly pharmacy clinical meetings are also a plus. Thinking long-term, you have the security and stability by working for a government organisation and the ability to progress your career and salary.
