Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service
Ideally seeking an experienced pharmacy technician (level 5 or 6) to join our Pharmacy Service for this senior role. This new position has been put in place to coordinate our increasing clinical pharmacy technician service and to expand the horizons of pharmacy technicians working within our service.
Responsibility and accountability for coordinating the clinical pharmacy technician service as well as supporting the education of others and involvement in Pharmacy education processes are key to the role. The successful applicant will be a well-organised, enthusiastic technician with great communication and leadership skills. Previous experience in hospital pharmacy and in clinical activity is desirable.
Waikato Pharmacy Services provides services to all of Waikato district hospitals, is based in a tertiary level teaching hospital servicing approximately 700 beds, in one of the most diverse and geographically widespread regions in the country. It’s a great place to work – lots of variety, interesting and valuable services, with passionate people.
This 1 FTE permanent position will be spread over a Monday to Friday roster with occasional rostered Saturdays and Public Holiday involvement.
Training and further learning is encouraged and supported.
