Waitemata District is an organisation which is growing in many service areas and this includes the Emergency Department. This area operates independently but closely with the Assessment and Diagnostic Unit and the wider hospital. The Emergency services at Waitemata have ongoing development and will continue to grow to serve the needs of the population.
 
We are seeking a dynamic nursing leader to fill the position of Charge Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department. You will be supported by highly competent and capable staff, including an education team. You will need to be a Registered Nurse with relevant experience and demonstrable leadership skills. You will have experience of successful change management and a dynamic and creative approach to nursing along with effective communication and influencing ability. You will have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience and preferably experience at charge nurse level.
 
You will be committed to client-centred care and will be skilled at bringing out the best in a team. You will bring a mixture of contemporary nursing knowledge and organisational ability, as well as professional credibility to the inter-disciplinary team.
