Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced dental hygienist to join our busy Hospital & Specialist Dentistry team in Auckland. This role is predominately based at Greenlane Clinical Centre with some services also provided at Auckland City Hospital.

Joining us as a Dental Hygienist you will be working as part of a clinical team of dentist and dental specialists providing hospital-based secondary and tertiary level hospital oral health services for patients living in the greater Auckland area. The focus of your role is the provision of comprehensive oral hygiene services to patients with complex comorbidities in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a primary focus on patients who are being treated for head and neck cancer.

This is your chance to join a well-supported multi-disciplinary team and there will be opportunities for you to be involved in research projects. While contributing to service clinical audit activities you will be key in providing a positive impact on our patient journey.

This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

As an ideal candidate, you will be a qualified dental hygienist and hold a current registration and Annual Practice Certificate with Dental Council of New Zealand.

You will have :

  • At least 4 years post-graduation clinical experience providing clinical care in a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to participate in and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to health care provision
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be competent in technical, measuring and computer skills
