About the role:
he Investment Co-ordinator provides specialist business and process support for the co-ordination of the Enabling Maori Fung (EMF) funding processes and related contract administration for Te Kupenga. Working closely with the leadership team, this role will make a valuable contribution to maximise investment operations to meet New Zealand’s economic, social and environmental goals.
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is developing Industry Transformation Plans (ITPs), a programme of work for delivering the Industry Strategy and contribute to the vision in the Government’s Economic Plan of a more productive, sustainable and inclusive economy.
The Enabling Māori Framework (EMF) is a mechanism to support ‘By Māori, for Māori’ projects that align to the goals of ‘He Kai Kei Aku Ringa’ and to the objectives and priorities of the ITPs. The EMF is a fund administered by Te Kupenga (the Māori Economic Development Unit of MBIE).
Skills and experience required:
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Experience in engaging with Māori communities and an understanding of tikanga and Te Reo Māori
• A proven track record of administration experience inclduding developing systems, tracking processes, record-keeping and maintaining work programme documents
• A strong understanding of Cabinet processes and machinery of Government is desired but not essential
