This is a transformation and change role where you will drive engagement in our compliance journey as we move towards being leaders in information and data governance.
Te tūranga - The role
The Senior Information and Data Governance Adviser will play a key role in establishing and growing the Information and Data Governance Office capability. You will engage with the broader organisation ensuring that data and information management processes across Te Pūtea Matua are meeting data governance requirements in accordance with RBNZ data, records and information management policies and related legislation.
In this role you will a key driver of the change journey at Te Pūtea Matua. You will be the person maintaining focus on data and information governance by working and communication consulting closely with stakeholders and leading the data and governance discussion initiatives at RBNZ. This role will function as a key enabler of best practice for data and information business process design.

Ō pūkenga - About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in leading, delivering, and optimising on enterprise data and information governance practice initiatives
- Experience with delivering data and information literacy training and uplift
- A strong understanding of information and data governance, principles, and best practice
- A strong understanding of the application of the Public Records Act, Privacy Act, and the Official Information Act
- The ability to work across the organisation with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent and engaging communication skills to lead the discussion with a variety of audiences
A strong understanding of the technical side paired with strong communication skills and the ability to lead engaging discussions is key essential in this role.
