The Day Stay Unit at Nelson Hospital provides services for all surgery day cases, day of admission surgery, medical day cases, radiological procedures and numerous infusion services. We are looking for positive registered nurses with robust clinical knowledge and a commitment to teamwork to join the unit across rostered and rotating shifts currently Monday to Friday.

This role would suit a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has great assessment and time management skills, is confident in their practice, works autonomously and can relate well to a wide group including patients, their families, our multidisciplinary team and consultants.
Every day is different and our nurses enjoy the variety of work, the people they interact with, and giving each patient the best patient experience they can.
Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of NZ approved COVID-19 vaccines as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public.

The full-time equivalent salary range if:
- a RN is appointed is $72,061 through to $95,340
- if an EN is appointed is $61,146 to $73,609
based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery MECA, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.
