Orthopaedic Nurse Coordinator Electives 1.0 FTE

 

Are you a registered nurse who is passionate about orthopaedic nursing and wanting to develop your clinical expertise in this area?

We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join the orthopaedic team based at Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park, as one of a small group of elective nurse coordinators who are responsible for managing our elective surgical waiting list. 

 

The elective nurse coordinator will work in partnership with patients, orthopaedic surgeons and the wider clinical team to safely case manage each patient’s journey from initial orthopaedic specialist assessment through to completion of their surgery.

 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced orthopaedic registered nurse with proven communication skills and leadership abilities to liaise with patients, surgeons and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.   This is a senior nursing role, working 1.0 FTE Monday to Friday.

 

 Essential

  • Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand APC
  • Minimum of four years’ recent orthopaedic clinical experience
  • Post Graduate qualification or equivalent
