Charge Nurse Manager (Full-Time), Middlemore Central Discharge Lounge, Te Whatu Ora at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Counties Manukau, Auckland

The Discharge Lounge facilitates early transfer and discharge contributing to the  patient experience here at Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau. 

 

The Charge Nurse Manager role is pivotal to Middlemore Central, providing an opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive team while developing your leadership skills and operational experience.

 

We are looking for a self-directed enthusiastic Registered nurse, with demonstrated expert clinical experience and a passion for quality, patient education and process improvement.    This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Senior Nursing,  Medical and Allied Health teams across all services, facilitating early transfer to the Discharge Lounge

 

Do you have a genuine commitment to equitable health outcomes for the population we serve, within the diverse and culturally rich community of Counties Manukau. Our preferred candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised, proactive and understand what it is to build reputation and a profession team culture. 

 

The Discharge Lounge can accommodate 23 patients between beds, recliners and waiting room spaces. The environment is central, spacious and light with outlook onto its own garden.

 

We are a Mon- Fri service providing nursing care, procedures and discharge planning to both inpatients and outpatients.

 

This is an unique opportunity to lead this team and develop new ways of working alongside a multidisciplinary workforce.
