Permanent, Part time (0.8 FTE/64 hours per fortnight)

Allied Health Community and Outpatients Team North Shore

Waitematā District 

Our dynamic multi-disciplinary team provides community physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language therapy and social work to older adults requiring clinic or home-based health services, following discharge from hospital, or to prevent hospital admission. This role is based at our North Shore base in Karaka street but will also cover across Waitemata region as required.

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of registered therapists, and key tasks include supporting our therapists, assisting patients with prescribed therapy programmes in individual and group sessions, and setting up and demonstrating how to use adaptive equipment to maximise independence and safety. Support and training will be given. Our preferred candidate will be used to working as part of a team and will ideally have experience working with older adults.

You will have the opportunity to use your skills to carry out a range of activities necessary to support the clinicians in their work, and participate in ongoing training and supervision. Amongst your key attributes are:
