We are seeking someone who has an interest in rostering and managing daily staffing requirements to join the Emergency Department team at Christchurch Hospital. The role entails writing rosters for the nursing team, managing daily staffing requirements and entering data into the payroll system. Strong, well developed processes are already in place to support you to successfully manage the ED nursing workforce.
The Nursing Team consists of around 190 registered nurses and support staff. You will be supported by the wider ED team and work closely with the Associate Clinical Nurse Managers.
This role is a permanent, full time position that requires you to work Monday to Friday between 7:30 am to 16.00. This role is based in the Emergency Department at Christchurch Hospital, with great views and direct access to Hagley Park.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills as well as great attention to detail. This role requires you to work in a high pressure and changing environment, while deliver excellent customer service and care to our kaimahi (staff) and patients.

Your skills will include:
- Experience with work rosters is essential
- Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Organisational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- A customer service approach to your work and contribute positively to the team
- Ability to work autonomously as well part of a large team
- A background in the Health Industry would be advantageous
- Experience with Microster would be advantageous
