Part Time Cleaner | Ashburton Hospital at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, Ashburton

Start Date - As soon as possible
Hours - 0.625 FTE (25 hours a week)
Shifts - Day shift Monday to Thursday at Tuarangi Home: 9am to 12pm;
Night shift Monday to Wednesday 4pm to 8.30pm cleaning offices and clinical areas.
Status - Permanent
Location - Ashburton
Salary - Starting rate $23.25 per hour
Benefits - Time and a half on weekends! and double time on Public Holidays!

Mō te tūnga - About the Role
Do you have a passion for cleaning and love that feeling of satisfaction when something looks and smells new? This may be the ideal role for you! Join our dedicated and hard-working Environmental Services Department in this part time cleaner role.

You will be part of a small fast paced team that plays an essential part of maintaining Ashburton Facilities. The team provides exceptional cleaning services 365 days a year, across both day and night shifts.

You would be working :
4x Day shift Monday to Thursday at Tuarangi Home from 9am to 12pm
2x Night cleans Monday to Tuesday cleaning offices and clinical areas from 4pm to 8.30pm
1x Night clean Wednesday cleaning offices and clinical areas from 4pm to 8pm

You will be responsible for:

  • Completing all cleaning tasks to a high standard
  • Ensure daily schedules and task lists are completed in set time frame
  • Working alongside other cleaners to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Matching service requirements to the clinical needs
  • Maintenance of equipment and operated according to specifications
  • Utilise the correct chemicals and dilutions 

We are looking for a reliable, hard working and flexible candidate who is able to bring their passion for cleaning to the Ashburton facility. This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make the Hospital and hygienic and safe space for our patients and whanau.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health is preferred but not essential.

Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.
