Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for a community mental health nurse who has experience working with Adults with complex mental health needs. The role is Monday - Thursday. The Team for Assertive Community Treatment (TACT) is a multi-disciplinary team with low case numbers that allows the clinician to be flexible to meet the needs of the client group. The staff works from a strength base perspective to assist individuals on their mental health recovery journey. The team have staff that are motivated, caring, and compassionate and believe in working together using each other skills and knowledge in a collaborative way.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
TACT Team is a multidisciplinary team comprising of a psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, and admin staff. We also have the support of a consumer consultant. TACT provides services to residents of the geographical area from Wellington to Kapiti. The team is indicated for those people with severe and persistent psychiatric disorders who have major functional disability in adult role functioning e.g. self-cares, social/interpersonal relationships and employment.
Team members have small caseloads and an ability to offer proactive, rehabilitative and lifestyle approach to service delivery. The TACT Team is contracted to meet the mental health needs of 3% of this population who have severe mental illness. This is a very rewarding job and the opportunity to work in a small team with experienced clinicians in a well-supported environment.
Moū - About you
- At least 4 years mental health nursing experience
- A current practising certificate
- Driving license
