This role will sit within an existing project management team and support relevant members of Nelson Marlborough Health - s executive and clinical teams in the implementation of a range of facility development projects that are required to support clinical care prior to the proposed redevelopment of Nelson Hospital. This is to be achieved by providing leadership, systems, resources and expertise to coordinate and manage a range of facility developments.
The role is charged with ensuring that sound programme and project management is in place and projects are:
- commercially and clinically sound.
- tightly managed to deliver from professional services teams and contractors.
- base-lined, tracked and delivered within the approved fiscal budgets.
- delivered within the context of a new build in
7-10 years.
The role will deliver quality project and programme reporting to steering committees and the Executive Leadership Team.
The full-time equivalent commencing salary for this position is $114,027.

Your background will attest to your ability to successfully lead and manage complex projects ideally within a clinical, or other multifaceted environment. You will have sound knowledge and experience in risk management, project cost control, contract and sub-contractor management and financial management of projects.
You will have strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and sound judgement and decision making skills. You be an authentic influencer who thinks strategically, builds, maintains and leverages constructive and effective relationships at all levels.
Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of NZ approved COVID-19 vaccines as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public.
