About the role
The Police Infringement Bureau (PIB) contributes to the effort to reduce death and serious injury on our roads, under the umbrella of the National Road Policing Centre (NRPC). It is part of the National Operations Group whose purpose is to deliver ‘Our Business’ through coordinated national services.
We are looking for an agile, values based, flexible and people focused leader who can hit the ground running to lead our large multicultural and diverse team. The PIB Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of end-to-end processing of all infringement matters as well as ensuring the team are contributing to the various strategies such as Road to Zero and the Road Safety Partnership Programme. The NPRC is incredibly passionate about reducing death and serious injury on our road and we are looking for an individual who can join us on the journey to make our roads safer.

- Proven ability to develop and maintain high performing team
- Collaborates and engages positively with stakeholder at all levels of our organisation, as well as with partner agencies and community groups

Special requirements
ROLES – At Sergeant / Senior Sergeant / Inspector level (Both PE and OOC):
- Current CPK at the rank of the vacancy you are applying for, and either,
- Undertake to engage in a leadership programme at the advertised level, at a future date or
- Have qualified under CEP or a previous Career Progression Framework at the rank of the vacancy you are applying for
NOTE: As discussed, should a District Commander ask that we look at candidates who do not yet met the outlined Constab requirements, a business reason as to ‘why’ must be included. Ie:
- Due to the ‘Hard to Fill’ nature of this role, it is desirable but not essential that applicants hold their current [role level rank ie. Sergeant] CPK, and either;
- Undertake to engage in a leadership programme at the advertised level, at a future date or
- Have qualified under CEP or a previous Career Progression Framework at the rank of the vacancy you are applying for
- On appointment, the successful candidate must reside within commutable distance to Wellington
- Pre-employment checks including references, Police vetting & drug/alcohol testing will be completed
- Previous experience with change management/transformational change would be beneficial
