Mō tenei tūrana mahi | About this role

The Solicitor - Corporate and Investments plays a critical role advising and assisting ACC's Investments Group with complex strategic and operational matters regarding the management and investment of ACC's reserves portfolios, one of New Zealand's largest investment funds. You will advise on a wide range of issues including debt and equity capital markets, private markets, corporate governance, and compliance. You will also from time to time advise the wider ACC on corporate and commercial matters.

You will be confident and credible advising in a large Crown Entity. Your collaborative and inclusive style will enable to you to work with the Investments Group and Legal team (you will work closely with the Principal Solicitor - Investments), as well as form many partnerships across ACC which will enable the provision of high-quality trusted advice.

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • Up to 5 years' post qualification experience, and a current New Zealand practising certificate.
  • Knowledge of investment markets and products would be preferred.
  • The skills and ability to work with diverse teams and people organisation wide.
  • High levels of customer focus, initiative, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An awareness of the role of ACC and experience working in an environment requiring cultural and social awareness.

To add value to ACC in this role you'll also bring:

  • Experience working with a range of technical experts with experience in investment markets and products being an advantage.
  • The ability to robustly apply public sector disciplines as well as business and commercial nous.

Working at ACC:

The base salary range for this role is $97,888 - $138,194 with appointment depending on skills and experience. ACC also offers 9% superannuation.
