We are looking for a person with energy and initiative to join our team as a Hospital Aide in the Gastroenterology service. You will be a person who is attentive to detail and understands the importance of patient care.

In this role you will support patient care by moving patients and items around the hospital at the right time to the right place in a courteous and well-presented manner. You will ensures the effective day-to-day operation of Services at Te Whatu Ora, Counties Manukau as part of the Gastroenterology team by maintaining consistent non-patient and/or patient transport standards and processes and delivers high levels of customer service at all times.

This is a part time position working 26 hours a week Monday to Friday between Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park.

Essential:

• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to use initiative with good problem solving skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Previous experience in health care sector an advantage 
• Basic computer skills
• All round team player with the ability to work unsupervised.

Dependent on skills and experience the salary is in line with the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery Multi- Employer collective agreement which is between $46,182 to $53,803 pro-rata.
