About the Role

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking the services of a  casual general MIT or MRI trained MIT to work in our department at Taranaki Base Hospital.  You would be working as part of a dynamic team.

This position is in our general department with participation on our on-call roster (includes weekends/shifts/call).   You must always be capable of working in a solo capacity and have the confidence to interact with a range of medical staff afterhours with the ability to make sound clinical decisions.

We are looking for an applicant who is flexible, a good team player, and with a positive personality.  You must be able to handle pressure and make sound decisions in difficult situations.  Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are important.

Our New Plymouth department includes 3 general x-ray rooms, angio/interventional suite (2016), nuclear medicine, CT, ultrasound, MRI.  We have 3 satellite sites; Hawera, Stratford, Waitara.

You will join a staff of around 70. You will be supported by a team of nine Radiologists.
