About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the medical oncology team on a casual basis.
Te Whatu Ora Taranaki’s Oncology department is open Monday to Thursday and has six chairs and two beds where patients are placed when they are booked for treatment.
We also have medical outpatient rooms where patients are seen either by our own MOSS Doctor or one of our visiting Consultants, in which case the nursing staff will assist in clinic when required.
This is an area where commitment to quality assurance and attention to detail are necessary and you will be supported by an experienced team of dedicated and very skilled staff who offer a high standard of nursing care.
About you
Candidates must have the following attributes:
- Ideally have New Zealand Hospital / Private hospital experience
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work within a team.
- Motivation and self-direction. Well-developed time management skills.
- Current APC Have an ability to integrate technology device and software into practice.
It would be desirable to be ADAC certified however training will be given to the candidate who is successful and IV cannulation skills are a bonus.
