Right now, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our new health initiative: the Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addiction Model. The role is at the heart of primary care within general practice and is committed to the health and wellbeing of individuals, groups and whanau of all ages.
As a registered healthcare professional the successful applicant will have a background in mental health and addiction and be motivated to provide interventions to support clients, thriving and flourishing. The ability to work autonomously and be part a multidisciplinary team contributing to health outcomes is also key to the success of this role.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required to carry out the intervention sessions and also the associated reporting.
Specific Health Improvement Practitioner training will be given as part of this role.
Location and Hours
There are a range of permanent, part-time and fulltime roles available and across the South Canterbury region (Twizel, Geraldine, Timaru, Temuka and Waimate)

Note
that you need to be registered to
practice in NZ with the relevant council for your
discipline.
A
current full driver - s license is also essential for this vacancy given the
community facing nature of the role.
