The South Island Regional Radiology (SIRR) Systems Team is based in Radiology at Christchurch Hospital, providing support to Radiology applications and staff across Waitaha Canterbury and other South Island Districts. We partner with vendors and Waitaha Canterbury Information Services Group to support current applications, implement new software and workflow procedures. Our focus is on system safety to support the right patient and clinical service outcomes.

We have a great opportunity for a positive and enthusiastic person to join our busy team.
In this role, you will be part of the SIRRS (South Island Regional Radiology Systems) team, often referred to as the - PACS - team. We look after over 20 radiology applications, two of the core systems being the PACS (the - images - system) and the RIS (the radiology patient management system). The many system applications are shared by Te Whatu Ora Districts the West Coast, South Canterbury, Nelson Marlborough Districts, and we work closely with the Southern District and private radiology practices.
We aim to help the Radiology Service create and maintain safe and efficient workflows for the patients, radiology staff, other hospital staff, and the community referrers.
We are always looking for how we can improve these workflows, and we have a lot of exciting new applications and projects lined up. It - s a fast-paced exciting area in which to work.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expertise of our radiology systems to the teams across the South Island
- Serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance over the phone or in the call- logging software
- Working with vendors and internal stakeholders in project planning and implementation
- Conducting training sessions for all staff on a wide range of applications and workflows - remote and face-to-face
- Participating in a 24/7 after-hours on-call roster

Your skills will include:
- 3 years - experience in the use of health applications - Radiology systems experience would be desirable
- Experience as an application trainer, document writing desirable
- Experience with project planning, co-ordinating, implementation
- Experience working in a pressured ever-changing environment
