Clinical Engineering Information and Communication Technology and Contracts Manager (Full time, fixed term) Te Whatu Ora at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Counties Manukau, Auckland

The Clinical Engineering Department provides a health technology consultancy and medical equipment maintenance support service to all departments across the organisation and we are a team of 38 professionals. This is a full time, 1 year fixed term position working Monday to Friday.

Operating from Middlemore Hospital Campus, we are looking for an energetic and talented Clinical Engineering Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and Contracts Manager to join our team. This is your opportunity to showcase your expertise with a focus to oversee and manage medical devices’ ICT infrastructure requirements (by ensuring safety, compliance, operational performance, capacity, risk management and setting future strategies) as well as provide ICT support to colleagues. In addition, the role will also be responsible for contract management services to maintain and manage active medical equipment maintenance contracts.

To be successful in this role you will need to have: 

  • Diploma in Electronics or Computer Science and/or Clinical Engineering (NZQA Level 5 or higher).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associated (CCNA) certified
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Electrical Appliance Serviceperson Registration (or eligibility to register within 1 year) 
  • Min 5+ years proven and relevant hands on ICT hardware, software, network and systems maintenance experience
  • Great managerial and communication skills
  • Ability to train, develop and mentor staff members
  • Self-starter and motivated
  • Good understanding of the medical device ICT interfaces and/or health sector experience would be advantageous.
