We are looking for customer focused professionals to join our Orderly team to support the busy day-to-day operations based at Middlemore Hospital, South Auckland. On average, our Orderlies complete more than 35,000 tasks every month.
In this role, you will support and improve patient care by transporting patients and items around the hospital in a safe, courteous, efficient, and sensible manner.
These positions are casual roles, working as and when required. Due to the nature of the work, you must be flexible and available to work across a variety of 8-hour shift times. Our 24/7 service rotating-roster includes morning, evening, night, and weekend shift times.
Applicants must be physically fit, with the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Heavy lifting occasionally required. Previous Orderly experience is not essential.
Essential:
- Able to manage time effectively
- Excellent communicator
- Experienced in Customer Service
- Physically fit and active – you will be completing up to 20,000 steps per day
- Self-driven, passionate and have the desire to make a difference to health of our community
- Work well under pressure in a complex healthcare facility
- Be able to understand and embed Counties Manukau District values
