Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered pharmacist to join the supply and logistics team in a permanent position at Te Toka Tumai inpatient pharmacy department.

Business hours are 0800-1630 Monday to Friday and 0800-1200 Saturday.

You will work productively, respectfully and positively with supply team pharmacists, technicians and assistants to dispense, check and supply compounded items including cytotoxic and hazardous products, clinical trials, oral chemotherapy, registered, unregistered and compliance packed medicines to our patients. Your focus will be providing an accurate service, coordinating and maintaining an efficient workflow, accountability for controlled drugs and liaising with key stakeholders to deliver an efficient, quality medicines supply service.

Full training and induction and ongoing support and professional development will be provided.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

  • Ability to see the dispensary service from the patient/customer perspective and motivated to provide the best service possible
  • NZ registered pharmacist with hospital experience
  • Current APC with the Pharmacy Council of NZ (or eligible to obtain)
