Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Based alongside our ward teams, you will be contributing to supporting the ward environment to be well functioning so that we can provide the best care for our patients and their whānau.
The Hospital Supporter role is an important non-clinical role that contributes to the enhancement of the environment for patients, whānau and staff. The role is pivotal in supporting the running of the hospital and wards through maintaining a safe, clean and tidy, well stocked environment. The role will work primarily with clinical, clerical and cleaning staff to support the service/ward/area and their teams to function well and respond to patient and whānau queries when required.
There will be an ability for you to make a difference to patients and your community as well as gain valuable experience in healthcare. There are also opportunities for you to advance your education and training as well as start a career in healthcare.
This role's starting hourly rate of pay is $23.25 and may be higher based on qualifications and experience, plus additional payments for any weekend, nights and public holidays worked. You will receive a laundry allowance, and casual holiday pay in lieu of annual leave of 8% will be applied.
Due to the casual nature of the role, only candidates with valid working rights and based in Auckland will be considered.
