Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Community Health Service Kapiti has a Casual Health Care Assistant (HCA), position available. The casual shifts are 4 - 6 hours and are mainly morning shifts from 8am up to 14.30pm, Monday to Friday, evening shifts are from 5pm to 10pm and weekend shifts as required. The HCA casual shifts are as required, there are no permanent shifts.
Community Health Services provides assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and support services to individuals and families in their homes. We offer an orientation programme and on-going education to HCA - s.
The HCA - s provide assistance with activities of daily living such as personal care and household tasks for clients who are temporarily incapacitated through illness or post-surgery. A close relationship is maintained with the professional nursing staff (District Nurses) working in the area for on-going assessment and advice in delivery of personal care.

Moū - About you
You are required to have:
- Completed level three NZQA qualifications in Community Support Services (or its equivalent).
- Current driver - s licence and reliable transport
- Good keyboard skills
- Good communication skills
