Right now, we are looking for a Sterile Supply Technician to join our Central Sterilising Unit (CSU) Team.
The CSU unit cleans all the soiled medical equipment coming out of the operating theatre.
We then sterilize, prepare, and seal, the medical equipment for reuse back in theatre and elsewhere in the hospital. We are an important support team, in the background but providing a vital function for our hospital services.
You will need to be physically fit and be able to cope well with a high demanding workload. We're looking for a dedicated team player that is willing to commit to our ICARE values. In addition to being physically and mentally demanding, in this role you and your colleagues are required to complete complex tasks that require high levels of concentration and attention to detail, manual and dexterous tasks, all while operating a wide range of equipment.
We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to work a rostered and rotating shift work pattern. Here - s what else we are looking for in an ideal candidate:
- Preference will be given to applicants who currently hold the Sterilising Certificate; however, consideration will be given to those who are willing to gain the qualification;
- Have experience working in a Sterilising Unit;
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively, both as part of a team and independently;
- Maintain high standards of work under pressure and be customer focused
