We regulate across multiple modes of gambling including casinos and classes 1-4, and undertake gambling licensing, compliance and enforcement functions in order to achieve the purposes of the Gambling Act 2003.
In the Gambling Group, we strive to Deliver Community Well-being by Reducing Gambling-Related Harms through the effective oversight of the gambling regulatory system. We are a responsive risk-based regulator that uses innovation and collaboration to maximise our impact in achieving our outcomes for Aotearoa New Zealand.
The Investigations team, Gambling Group, is responsible for investigating alleged breaches of the Gambling Act 2003, the Crimes Act 1961 and the Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators Act 2010 throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. Our team is based in Auckland.
About the role:
We are also seeking a highly skilled and professional Investigations Coordinator to join us to provide support across the Investigations team. You will be responsible for:
- File population/triage processes
- Collecting and collating correspondence from various internal and external sources
- Ensuring critical and sensitive information relating to cases is scanned, stored, retrieved and communicated (as applicable)
- Support for evidence management
- Reporting
- Other general support functions such as organising travel for our team members.
You will report to the Team Leader, Complaints, Investigations and Prosecution Unit and provide support across the Investigations team.
The role offers flexible working conditions and will be based in the Auckland Office of Te Tari Taiwhenua Department of Internal Affairs. Opportunities may arise for travel to Wellington.
Certain NZ Police and credit clearances will be required for the successful candidates.
