Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

The Nelson Paediatric Service has a vibrant inpatient unit catering for children from 0-16 years requiring both acute and elective medical and surgical services plus child and adolescent mental health. 

We are an enthusiastic team, passionate about providing high quality care to children. We are well supported by onsite Paediatricians and work in close partnership with allied health and child and adolescent mental health practitioners. You will be supported with excellent educational opportunities and our paediatric nurse educator. 

We have two permanent positions available within the 0.6FTE (48 hours a fortnight) up to 1.0FTE (80 hours a fortnight) range.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)

You will be a NZ registered nurse with a current APC and recent experience in an acute general paediatric setting. You will also be a team player who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice and will have excellent organisational and time management skills, along with a commitment to quality. 

Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of NZ approved COVID-19 vaccines as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public.

The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $76,554 to $95,3340 (steps 3 to 7) based on the NZNO Pay Equity Bargaining Agreement between the NZNO, NZPSA, and DHBs.
