Clinical Lead - Physiotherapy (Fixed-Term, Full-Time) at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Toka Tumai Auckland, Auckland

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

This Clinical Lead role will see you providing both clinical and operational leadership to the Physiotherapists within the Allied Health (Adults) service. You will work closely with our practice supervisors and teams to provide clinical physiotherapy services for adult inpatient services at Auckland City Hospital, renal and outpatient services. This is a fixed term, full-time position available for a New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist to join our dynamic, supportive and self-motivated service.

  • As a service we encourage innovative approaches that will take our department and our business management to the next level of performance and enhance the development of services and staff
  • Reporting to the Service Clinical Director, Allied Health Services, this is a highly collaborative role well supported by the Director, other profession-specific Clinical Leads colleagues, and professionally, by the Professional Leader – Physiotherapy
  • You will be a valued member of the Allied Health Leadership Team and encouraged and supported to develop your potential, including your leadership and management skills in and beyond Physiotherapy
  • As part of the role, you will support a small clinical caseload
  • This is a genuinely outstanding and challenging Allied Health clinical leadership opportunity within the NZ health sector

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who wants to develop their operational and leadership skills whilst also maintaining strong clinical practice. As the ideal candidate for the role, you will also have the following attributes:

  • New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Previous leadership experience in Allied Health advantageous
  • Appropriate supervision training advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to work at an advanced clinical level in a health environment
  • Working towards or completed relevant clinical or management Post Graduate / Masters degree or equivalent
  • A comprehensive understanding of the obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and a commitment to supporting equitable outcomes for Māori
  • Able to bring together, balance and deliver the combined demands of quality, operations and business management through outstanding leadership and delegation
  • Highly developed computer skills (e.g. can confidently construct pivot tables within Excel)
  • Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The remuneration for this position is covered by a collective agreement (PSA Allied, Public Health Scientific Technical MECA)

Salary Range: Step 13 $103 144 to Step 17 $117 871 (Depending on experience)
