Occupational Therapist - Mental Health Inpatients at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand South Canterbury, Mental Health Services (Kensington Centre)

Right now, we are seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatients Mental Health team. In this role you will work collaboratively with colleagues and a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe and clinically effective assessment and interventions across the service.

This role offers variety and works closely with individual patients/clients and their whanau to enable provision of occupational therapy interventions that are coordinated and promote independence. Along with knowledge and experience of evidence-based practice the successful candidate will have:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • A Current Practising Certificate
  • Excellent Interpersonal/Communication Skills (including assertiveness, diplomacy, and sensitivity)
