Rt Hon Chris Hipkins is seeking a Strategic Communications Manager to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting the Prime Minister with the development and promotion of key strategies and gives the unique opportunity to be at the heart of communicating the policies and initiatives of today's government to the New Zealand public.

You will be part of the Prime Minister's team working to develop and implement an online and offline communications strategy to promote the understanding of, and engagement with the Prime Minister's policy positions and descriptions.

The ideal candidate will bring top notch stakeholder engagement, data and analytic skills, a strong knowledge of digital media combined with a strong understanding of issues and initiatives of importance to the Prime Minister and the Government. Supporting the wider team is also crucial to ensure communications are clear, informative and timely.

With a highly attuned awareness of both the media and the political landscape, you will be social media savvy and confident in writing. You will be comfortable and confident interacting in a collegial way with members of the Prime Minister's team, as well as a number of key internal and external stakeholders.

It is a necessary requirement of this role to hold a National Security Clearance. There are certain criteria that must be met in this regard.
