Our team of Sterile Services/Theatre Technicians work in our modern Operating Theatre suite at Wairau Hospital sterilising and processing reusable instruments and equipment for the operating theatres and other hospital departments, as well as assisting nursing teams with patient transportation, theatre cleaning and equipment provision.
Permanent employees have the opportunity to study towards the National Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 3/4), from the New Zealand Open Polytechnic; the cost of which will be met by the hospital, if not already attained.
The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $52,260 - $61,823 (step 1 - step 4) dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.
This is a part-time position (0.8 FTE) working 64 hours per fortnight. Hours will be flexible and rostered and rotating Monday to Sunday.
