We have a vacancy for an experienced, dictaphone typist/secretary to fill a secretary role at Middlemore Hospital. This is a full time position working Monday to Friday.
The successful applicant will be one of a team of five secretaries. They provide secretarial support, as well as transcribing dictation for the whole service. Transcription makes up approximately 80% of the role.
If you have previous medical experience and want to broaden your knowledge, then this is a great opportunity. We will consider applicants who do not have a medical background, but have proven fast, accurate dictaphone typing skills which are essential as it is very a busy, fast paced environment.
We offer an excellent training programme to ensure staffs are able to work independently in a short time frame, and ongoing support is provided for all new employees.
Essential:
- Dictaphone typing experience
- Minimum typing speed of 55wpm
- Intermediate level of MS Office Word & Outlook
Desired:
- Hospital based medical transcription or secretarial experience
Dependent on skills and experience the salary range is in line with the PSA Clerical and Administrative staff collective agreement.
