The Specialist Mental Health Director of Area Mental Health Services (DAMHS) Office is looking for a skilled and motivated Administrator to work in part-time fixed term role, working 36 hours per week. This position is based at Hillmorton Hospital.

You will be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and build working relationships effectively. Your strong communication and time management skills will enhance your ability to participate as a valued team member, and your confidentiality will be second to none. It would be advantageous but not essential to have knowledge of the Mental Health Act [MHA] and experience in SAP - the Specialist Mental Health Service patient management system.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Undertake the wide administrative duties of the Office,
  • Processing legal papers for legislation related to the provision of mental health and alcohol and other drug services
  • Complete reporting to the Ministry of Health and DHB requirements
  • Maintain registers and legislative requirements as directed
  • Support with Ministry of Health queries regarding the MHA
